Zen Mandalas Swap

For this swap the idea was to create mandalas filled with zentangles. It was a little tricky for me to start because I make my mandalas very organically, without any real plan. And I create my zentangles just the opposite, by planning out every section in detail! But once I got started it was a lot of fun!

Glossary

AFA-Artist Trading Cards For All. A website that hosts swaps and individual trades of artist trading cards.

ATC-Artist Trading Card. A 2.5x3.5 work of art created to trade and collect.

HD/HP- Hand drawn/hand painted. Some swaps and trades are designated as hd/hp so players know not to use any collage elements.

Host Gift-In a swap it is customary to make an extra card on the theme as a thank you for the swap host. This is why many times in a 3:3 swap you will see 4 cards displayed.

MMH-Make Me Happy. This type of trade is where one person lists off some themes of cards they'd like to receive and the next player claims one of those topics and creates a card accordingly to send to person A. Then person B requests some themes and the next player after them creates one of those cards for person B.

PAT-Pick a Theme. It is a type of swap wherein each member of the group requests a specific theme for their return cards.

Swap-Sometimes people host a swap with a general theme and requirements. Anyone can sign up to play. Swaps usually are 3:3, but can be 6:6. Meaning each player makes 3 cards that fit the theme and then mails them to the host. The host then mixes them up and mails each player 3 different cards from 3 different artists.
