PATs Galore

In the Winter I did a couple PAT (pick-a-theme) swaps. I really enjoy doing a theme that is picked for me - it can be an exciting challenge sometimes!

For this group the themes were: raccoon, character from a video game her son liked, whimsical tree, and a bouquet of flowers.

For this group the themes were: love birds, a realistic blue bear, Frida smiling or laughing, and a dragonfly.

For this group the themes were: close-up of a face, a whimsical bird, a mother and child, and an angel.

For this group the themes were: realistic giraffe, Dr. Seuss character, daisies, and Venice.

We're Back...

Even though I haven't kept up on posting my art to this blog, I have been doing art daily!

Here are two swaps that start out with a scribble or your eyes closed to challenge your creativity.
The first swap was a blind-drawing swap - the challenge was to draw a face with your eyes closed, then open your eyes and finish the card.

I also joined a scribble swap - the idea was to start with random scribbles on the card and then turn them into a person or animal. It was a lot of fun!

Horns, Wings, and Tails, Oh My! Swap

For this swap we had to create a creature with a tail, a creature with horns, and a creature with wings. I chose to draw ladies, because that's my favorite!

September PAT Swap

For this group it was regular hd/hp themes. The requests were: lady angels, Candyland, dogs with attitude, and owls. I requested whimsical birds wearing wellies.

For this challenging themes hd/hp group the requests were: favorite cartoon, steampunk fairytale, elegant woman walking a Borzoi, and characters from the Walking Dead video game. I requested characters from the Curse of Monkey Island.

Angels, Angels, Angels

There has been a burst of angel swaps appearing on AFA lately, and since I love drawing angels I had to sign up for all of them! The first swap was simply hd/hp angels.

The next one was a tear-art angel swap. The rules were you could only use paper and glue to create your angels. No scissors or pens were allowed to add any embellishments. Since I always make my students do tear art (with fabulous results, I might add) I had to sign up for this fun swap too!
